a song is a 3-minute sermon; a 3 minute praise report or a 3-minute moment of prayer and worship.

a song is not "entertainment". the Bible never gives us the command to go into the world and "entertain". the songs today are most often from the example of David and the other psalmists. the psalms were not written to entertain the people, they were written as prayers and supplications to Father God; or as praise for God; or to tell the people about their sinning ways, the way to redemption or to remind them of God's grace and mercy. not once is there any mention, old or new testament, about entertaining in song.

as a singer/songwriter my job is to take a message from God, put it into something that will grab attention and for 3 minutes teach, chastise, remind, encourage or testify; or praise and worship the Creator of everything.

UPDATE:

I've been a Christian for more than 25 years, and during that time I have received many blessings and miracles from God; healing, provision, protection and too many others to list; but, the thing that keeps me walking with Him is the LOVE He has shown me. The love I found at that altar that Sunday morning of 10 March 1985 was something I had never known before, and something I had long sought.

It is His love that keeps me walking this path that leads to His kingdom and keeps my faith at such a high level. I know if He can love me unconditionally, in spite of my faults, foibles and mistakes, I know He will provide my every need according to His riches in Glory.

When I read John 3:16, I read it this way: For God so loved 'Denny Wade Garrett' that He gave His only begotten Son, that "Denny Wade Garrett' believing in Him, shall not perish, but have everlasting life.

It is the LOVE of God that we have to share with the world. And it's His love that we need to learn how to give to those around us, both the saints and the sinners. 1 Corinthians 13:13 says, And now abide faith, hope, love, these three: but the greatest of these is love. God's love for us is the greatest thing He can give us, and love for our fellow man is the greatest thing we can give them.

My Vision:

God graciously gave me His music ministry to not only spread the GOOD NEWS of Jesus Christ

to a lost and hurting world, but also to remind the Bride of Christ, the church, that "the greatest of these is love."

The Word of God tells us that in the last days men's hearts will wax cold, that love will be something rare in this world,

and I'm using His music to let each and every person, whether lost or saved, know they are loved. Loved by God, loved

by the church, loved by the saints and loved by me.

You see, this website and the music available here and other places is not mine. This is God's ministry! I'm simply the

vessel He chose to share the music through.

While there have been trials, set-backs and hurdles, there is nothing that will prevent me from sharing the music

God has placed in my heart. Every single word of every song was written in my heart by Jehovah; I am merely the

"pencil" He uses to put those words on paper.

May God bless you, keep you and may the music give you joy, peace and open up the love of the Father in your life.
